Patricks Fremantle Terminal – Western Australia

WAY Electrical was contracted by Patricks to undertake the high voltage cable installation for the two new ship container unloading mobile cranes at the Patricks Fremantle port facility.

The scope of the works included installation of HV cables underground to the wharf concrete apron, concrete core drilling, installation of purpose built brackets under the wharf structure, installation of the crane dead end boxes and termination of all HV cables, including the associated fibre optic cabling.

Further to this work WAY was retained to be the project manager on the total crane installation and commissioning. This involved working with the Chinese national crew that was mobilised with the crane to complete final assembly, interface with Patricks and the Fremantle Port Authority and the correlation and presentation of handover documentation.
