Gorgon Heater Modules – Western Australia

WAY Electrical was contracted to carry out the instrumentation works associated with the heater burner modules for the Gorgon Gas Project.

The modules were constructed in Thailand and designed by a UK-based company.

WAY was responsible for the supply of materials and labour to undertake the installation of control valves, process instruments, process stainless steel pipe work, burner control panels and associated monitoring devices.

The instrumentation and materials were all hazardous area rated and needed to comply with the strict client requirements. A large part of the project was the requirement for detailed inspection, logging and reporting of hazardous area equipment installations to ensure compliance to the client’s specifications and Australian Standards.
