Steve Yates

Steve has 26 years’ experience in the electrical construction industry, with 14 years as a Senior Project Manager on electrical projects in Africa, Asia and all major resource areas of Australia ranging up to $135 million.

Projects have included: BHPB HBI gas plant, Woodside train 4 underground cabling, HV reticulation and above ground modules, BHPB process plants Port Hedland, Newman mining area C and ore bodies 18 and 24, the Western Australian Water Corporation desalination plant at Karratha, Alcoa Wagerup process plant upgrade, and gold/copper process plants in Thailand, Laos, Ghana and numerous plants around Australia.

Steve’s experience with major resource sector clients such as Woodside, BHPB, Rio Tinto, and Alcoa mean he is well versed in the strict contractual conditions that clients can set for projects in respect of OHS, environment, fitness for work, quality control, and regular reporting.
